This year's Berlinale IFF features a great number of MIDPOINT alumni and projects. 3 films are selected for the official festival program, a TV series will be presented within a pitching session as part of the Drama Series Days and the Berlinale Co-production Market, and 4 emerging filmmakers and MIDPOINT Alumni will participate in Berlinale Talents.
We want to wish all filmmakers congratulations on finalizing their projects and on their world premiere at this year's Berlinale.

Berlinale Generation Kplus
LITTLE HARBOUR BY IVETA GROFOVA

The MIDPOINT Intensive SK 2014 alumna Iveta Grofova, who attended the project with her project Little Harbour, will present the film in a world premiere within the Berlinale Generation Kplus section. A story inspired by true events about two children whose innocent play will change their lives forever, was produced by Katarina Krnacova, a MIDPOINT alumna herself, attending last year’s MIDPOINT TV Launch with her project 1989.
Berlinale Co-production Market – Drama Series Days

Till Kleinert (Der Samurai) is taking his genre-bending TV series project HAUSEN to the Co-productions Market's Drama Series Days, togeher with producer Anna Stoeva – MIDPOINT TV Launch 2016 Alumna. The series was developed at MIDPOINT throughout 2016, and tells the story of a recently widowed father who takes up the long-vacant position as building manager in a rundown housing complex. Soon after moving in, his teenage son Juri starts to sense something vicious permeating their new home.
The Co-Pro Series Pitching takes place on Feb 15 ,11:00 – 14:00 at Zoo Palast 2 (for Market Badge holders only).

Producer of Miss Holocaust, Karolina Galuba, took part in the MIDPOINT program Training the Trainers in 2015.
SPOOR BY AGNIESZKA HOLLAND

Polish master, Agnieszka Holland's new feature Spoor is produced is produced by Czech producers Tomas Hruby, MIDPOINT TV Launch 2016 Alumni, and Slovak producer Jakub Viktorin, who is a MIDPOINT regular since 2011's Feature Launch program, MIDPOINT Feature Launch 2013, and MIDPOINT Follow-Up in 2015.
The festival's talent campus will be with the participation of producer Michal Kráčmer who is an Alumni of both MIDPOINT Feature Launch 2013, Feature Launch 2014, and MIDPOINT Follow-Up in 2014. Romanian Director Ioana Mischie, Alumna of MIDPOINT Feature Launch 2012, is also part of the Talent Campus.
Czech writer and director Justyna Tafel from MIDPOINT Feature Launch 2013 and, MIDPOINT Follow-Up 2014 has been chosen to develop her feature within the Script Station, and finally, Icelandic producer Eva Sigurdardottir, MIDPOINT TV Launch 2017 Participant, is participating in the Talent Project Market.
