For the second time, MIDPOINT offers a unique and intensive script development workshop during Karlovy Vary IFF together with script experts from Sundance Institute.
For four days the 6 selected projects consisting of writers and producers from the region will get professional and in-depth feedback on their scripts from the experts.
Naomi Foner is an Oscar nominated and Golden Globe winning writer from New York. She has written the screenplays for several feature films, including ‘Running on Empty', ‘Losing Isaiah’ and ‘Bee Season’. In 2013, she made her directorial debut with 'Very Good Girls', starring Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
Erik Jendresen is a writer, co-creater and producer of 'Band of Brothers for which he was awarded a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award for Oustanding miniseries. This adds to a long career as writer, producer and showrunner for television, as well as a writer and producer for feature films including an adaptation of Walter Tevis’ ‘The Man Who Fell To Earth’, ‘Aloft’ (developed with Robert Redford) and ‘The Mariner’.
Apart from the intensive script development program for the participants, MIDPOINT Intensive @KVIFF also offers the general industry audience a selection of open talks and presentations.
