It's a great pleasure to announce renowned professionals from the field of TV development and industry, who are joining the 2019 edition of MIDPOINT TV Launch.
As MIDPOINT announced earlier this year, Gabor Krigler (Creative Executive HBO Europe) was appointed new Head of Studies of MIDPOINT TV Launch, the international idea-to-market program for emerging TV series creators and aspiring development executives.
Krigler, together with program coordinator Katarina Tomkova, introduced several new elements for the 2019 edition, which are directly addressing the progress, development, and need of the TV industry in the region.
For the first time in TV Launch history, the program opened a special group for web series projects. This group will be lead Sullivan Le Postec, acclaimed French digital series creator (Les Engagés).
The program will newly welcome development executive participants, who will be mentored by Steve Matthews, VP Executive Producer, Drama Development at HBO Europe, who is with TV Launch since its establishment in 2014.
As usual, the program also engages experienced professional as guest tutors, who join the individual workshops (TV Launch being a 3-workshop program) and offer expertise in their field.
The first workshop of 2019 edition would be joined by Luke Eve, creator of the critically acclaimed Australian online series Low Life, and Ben Harris, who is heading the partnering training program Serial Eyes.
The first workshop takes place already this coming November in the intimate setting of Banska Stiavnica in Slovakia.
The second workshop will be held during the Finale Plzen film festival in the Czech Republic in April '19, and the final workshop takes the participants to the vibrant film and TV market CineLink during Sarajevo Film Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where all the selected projects are presented within the pitching showcase.
