"The selection process was already quite a challenge as there were so many promising submissions,“ says Gabor Krigler, TV Launch´s Head of Studies. “I'm bracing myself for another thrilling ride with the handpicked projects and their awesomely talented creators; the first residential workshop is my favorite, as together we dig deep into the stories' origins and re-discover their meaning to the writers while laying the blueprint for the 9 months' work ahead."

Altogether, 9 projects have been selected following an open call, as well as 2 development executive participants. After the workshop in Slovakia, next stop is in the Czech Republic during Finale Plzen in April 2019 and then finally in Sarajevo during the CineLink market in August 2018.

Tutors
For the first workshop, the teams will be guided by Group Leaders Gabor Krigler, Maggie Murphy and Sullivan Le Postec, who will join the tutor´s team for the first time, being the group leader of web series projects.
The development executive participants will be mentored by Steve Matthews.
Also onboard are the guest tutors Ben Harris and Luke Eve.

Program
The main program consists of group meetings and individual consultations, as well as analyses of TV and web series case studies.
